TPSG65 – SailGauge (DF65)

This amazing little device is your ticket to setting up your DF65 so you can compete with the big boys!! Very handy “all-in-one” tool. Comes complete with detailed instructions!

Instructions: (Pictures are included on the instructions you receive with the item)

When you first hold this amazing little device, you will be immediately impressed with the design functionality.
There are two edges to your new SailGauge©
1. The first edge has radial cuts labelled 15 through 30, then ‘V’ notches labelled 40 through 80. 2. The second edge is labelled 30 through 50.
Both these edges represent accurate gauged settings for your Sail and Rig set ups.
These numbers are millimeter settings because setting your sails/rig is all down to millimeter accuracy.
Now we will elaborate on the use of each of the edge settings on your new SailGauge©.
Set the sail and boom distances to accommodate the wind you are going to sail in.
1. First edge labelled 15-30 is the setting for the “Camber” of your Jib & Mainsail. Place the SailGauge© on your Jib or Mainsail Boom, immediately behind the aft silicon ring which secures your jib to eye #1, or immediately behind the Mainsail Boom moulding and the Mainsail Boom and select the setting you require.
2. First edge labelled 40-55 is the setting for the “Twist” of your Jib. Place the SailGauge© on the Jib up-haul cord adjacent to the second Jib Batten, or halfway up the leech and select the setting you require. I mark this position on the cord with some red nail varnish.

3. First edge labelled 60-80 is the setting for the “Twist” of your Mainsail. Place the SailGauge© on the Backstay cord adjacent to the second Mainsail Batten or halfway up the leech and select the setting you require. I mark this position on the cord with some red nail varnish.
4. Second edge labelled 30-50 is the setting for the Jib Boom distance to the base of the Mast. Place the SailGauge© on the Mast and select the setting you require
5. The thickness of the SailGauge© is to set the distance of the end of the Jib Boom from the Mast.
6. The thickness of the SailGauge© is to set the optimum Jib Boom height off the Foredeck
I hope all these instructions will allow you to set up your DF and enjoy it even more.
Best of fun and race sailing to all.
